We are very excited to announce that Nancy Lee has joined the Soil Foodweb team effective November 1, 2010 in the position of Laboratory Technician. Nancy earned her M.Sc. (Soil Science) at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon after finishing her BSA at Macdonald College 1986 (Mcgill University) in Ste Anne de Bellevue. Nancy has extensive knowledge and experience in nutrient cycling and soil ecology through research she has conducted. She has held numerous positions as a Soil Technician and has delivered post-secondary curriculum on soil and agronomy related topics. Nancy has recently returned from Corvallis, Oregon where she completed her Soil Foodweb training.

Christine George is speaking at the 30th annual Guelph Organic Conference on Thursday, January 27, 2011 between 6:00 and 9:00pm . She will be speaking in room Guelph UC442 on the subject "All Compost Is Not Created Equal: Making Healthy Backyard & Farm Compost". Christine George is moving on to pursue new career opportunities in Ontario. Christine has written a farewell letter to her colleagues, customers and friends which you can read here.
From all the shareholders at Soil Foodweb we want to sincerely wish Christine a wonderful future with whatever path she chooses. With that said, we sincerely hope that she will consider continuing her career along the Soil Foodweb path. This task isn’t easy but for many of us that have had the opportunity to work with Christine, they will know when we say, “She will be missed” as a coworker and a friend.
We wish her journey to be prosperous and happy and may she always be blessed.
Soil Foodweb Canada will continue to process samples in a timely manner and will still offer courses and learning opportunities for all of our valued customers.
